Subject: RE: Vibration measurements ISOLDE
Dear colleagues,
The ISOLDE seismic station is now fully operational. Thanks to all people who involved for the installation and a special thanks to Elena/Cedric for the web / NXCALS interface.
Please find below some details :
- The throughput data can be visible with the following interface Ground Motion Seismic stations (cern.ch) in comparison with the other CERN seismic stations (Pt1, Pt5 and surface). The throughput data are saved on our server;
- Comparing to the Pt1, Pt5 and surface seismic stations, the ISOLDE seismic station is not
Excel file containing the GLM-GHM deflector settings to run with neighboring masses in GPS/GLM/GHM.
Please note that these settings work well if the “Difference” (with the central mass) is less than 5%.

REXTRAP refilling: Cut proton request 1/TRAP put in safe mod:(Going down) Load 0 files High tension set to 0 Vacuum valves closed
2/TRAP refilled – TRAP turned on HT platform Electrodes on Eqp Array loaded
Note from FW Don’t switch off and on the buffer gas pressure for REXTRAP when Julien is filling, just leave it on. You can however go down with the value in case the trap isn’t in use for longer periods (a few days).
I notice that all voltages of REXTRAP are applied, without any gas being present. Please, don’t do it like that but follow this order:
From scratch: 1. switch on

The best practice, in case of HT tripped when protons heat the target, is to reboot cfx-170-mkishtim (from ccm, go to CO Diag, go to Diam consol and look for the cfx-170-mkishtim .) https://confluence.cern.ch/display/ABT/ISOLDE+60kV+modulator

I include the entry in the logbook, that specifies the position for the slits, for the Ag run.
It is advised that we should first touch the Left switch on both slits and then try to move them in and cut the contaminants.
For YHRS.TCS.6750_LEFT the position to touch the LEFT switch is -25mm
For YHRS.TCS.6750_RIGHT the position to touch the LEFT switch is +25mm
As seen here:
In case they get stuck, either call C. Mitifiot during working hours

At the start of each year, the lines to both the GPS and the HRS targets has to be set up and the steering optimized such that the beam is well centered on the two targets.
